Making drinks in Cinema 4D

I've started recording my Cinema 4D classes so I have something to look back at if I get stuck creating something in the future. This particular class helped me a lot with my visual appendix, the technique of using a lathe combined with and illustrator outline allowed me to quickly get the shapes I was looking for and then focus on the detail.

These are two labels I made after the class I wanted to play around with transparency and create a sticker-like label.

Showreel

During the showreel class I had my mind occupied by the Collide Show however during the class I got inspired by a showreel that Sara showed us, it had a logo or shape in the centre of the screen throughout the video and it really caught my eye and I wanted to make something from that.

I have done a few folding animations in the past but none of them haven't really gone anywhere, I didn't expect this one to either but I played around with it a bit more and a new colour palette worked a lot better with my final showreel.

Colour Palette

Since the first year I have always been interested in colour palettes, however whenever I'm in a rush I tend to stick to a blue palette and I'd prefer to have a back up colour palette to look at when I have to work in a rush or just short on ideas. I happened to be stuck in A&E one night with a friend and found myself flicking through magazines looking at composition of layout, I was struck by how fresh and vibrant the colour palette was so I started taking photos and keeping them for inspiration in the future.

I think the last image in particular unconsciously influenced my palette in a recent animation I made for the beginning of the showreel. It's nice to have something like this to look back at if I get stuck, it adds some variety if I find my portfolio is too blue.
