Logo Design Process

I have recently taken this book out of the library for a re-brand project I did as part of my workshop week. I find that it helps to look at past designs when creating my own logos because it frees my mind up to think of what the logo could look like, instead of my brain considering every style at once which leads me to getting nothing of use down on paper. Even if the idea I choose doesn't work with the brand at all, drawing the idea helps me work the design out of my brand to speed up my work process.

I highly recommend this book to others who are interested in typography and branding as it not only shows the final outcomes of the companies but it shows the evolution of the idea throughout it's creation. It's not word-heavy in general and is excellent for just looking through on days that you need inspiration. Unfortunately I can't keep it out the library forever so I have to buy my own copy eventually and add it to my ever growing book hoard.
